牙冠和牙桥
What is a crown?
A crown is a cap that covers and protects the entire tooth, restoring the tooth to its original shape and sealing the tooth to prevent further damage.
What is an artificial crown?
A crown is a protective layer or covering that is placed on top of a tooth to repair and protect a tooth that is severely decayed or fractured/has undergone root canal treatment. Crowns are also used to treat tooth discoloration, close spaces between teeth, and repair irregularly shaped teeth.
What is a bridge?
A bridge is a special denture that uses the teeth on either side of the cavity to support and hold the denture in the middle. A bridge is a special dental restoration that replaces a missing tooth by placing a crown on the adjacent teeth. The teeth in the missing area are ground down and the bridge is permanently bonded to replace the missing tooth. Compared to other methods of replacing missing teeth, bridges are more comfortable than dentures and less expensive than implants.
How to care for crowns and bridges?
A normal daily routine of brushing and flossing must be followed to maintain the health of the gums around the crown. Avoid biting hard foods to prevent the crown from chipping or breaking. We generally recommend that patients receive regular checkups and take care of crowns and bridges every six months.
Aftercare instructions:
