PRF is prepared by drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood and spinning it in an IntraSpin centrifuge. There are no blood additives or chemicals. It is extracted only from the patient’s blood drawn before surgery. PRF is a yellow jelly-like mixture composed of white blood cells, fibrin, platelets, stem cells, growth factors, and bone morphogenetic proteins.
PRF has the following functions
• Occupies space in bone defects (extraction sites, implant surgery sites, etc.) without foreign matter and prevents gum tissue from growing into bone.
